Doesn't look like there's a recall on that. Recalling a tie rod would almost never happen. Tie rods get smoked for so many driver related reasons. A warranty repair is the best bet. A lot of TSB's are too new to be available for internet'ers.
Is your 3/36k bumper-bumper warranty still active?
If you're still under warranty, *don't* speculate on anything regarding accidentally hitting something, or off roading. Just say that you drive it normally, and don't hit things.
Friends of mine that have been dealer techs for years always get a chuckle when they tell customers that they don't know why "XYZ" suspension part failed, and the part will be replaced under factory warranty. And then the customer goes "oh, well maybe it's because I ran over a curb at 45mph." Guess who's not paying for that repair anymore....
