Hey guys, my 2010 Ram has about 110,000kms on it now and im thinking a sparkplug replacement is due. If any of you have good or bad experiences with different plugs id like to hear your stories. Any help finding the best plug for the money would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I did NGK plugs the first change and Champion the second time. Both worked (and continue to work) well and I believe NGK are the OEM brand. Your Hemi likes copper plugs, but I've heard success stories from those running with platinum plugs, too.

Dont do the E-3 plugs. I just did all 16 of mine. used the Autolite Double platinums. $4.49 each. this is what O'Reilly and Advanced auto said were the OEM replacements.

be prepared to climb up and inside if you are doing them yourself.

Stick with the ngk. That should be what is in there now. Just a standard copper plug is your best bet. Go with an ngk platinum if you want longer life. But stick with the factory plug.

Just a waste of money. You are not going to get any kind of performance gain from a different plug. Just longer life if you go platinum. I'm sure there are people that have used them and are fine, but I have seen multiple hemi with misfire or insufficient ionization codes right after someone put in fancy spark plugs with multiple electrodes

Puting them in my Tundra before I traded it and tey were crap. it seemed to run rougher with them. now finding them in my dodge... yea, not a fan. Ill stick with a platinum or standard copper plug.

TO futher the process since it is fresh in my mind.
Remove the air filter top and hose.
remove the engine cover.
ON passenger side, you will need to pop off the clip on the #6 cyl that hols the electrical wire harness. its easy, and then fight with said harnes or that coil.
also, it helped me to pop the clip on the two hoses at the back on the Firewall so I could move them around to get the socket to clear and go straight in.

ON the driver side:
First one is EASY. but go ahead and leave the coip off after changing it.
Going toward the back , I just removed all of the coils and laid them on the windshield in order.
then Plugs 4 thru 8 are the worst because you cannot get to them because of the brakes and firewall. drop your socket in and then just enough extension to clear and put he ratchet on them. no swivel here. Loose them and then hand undo them. Raise them up and grap socket and remove the extension first (OR have swivel right on the socket so you can bend it to remove. Repeat this all the way back.

Make sure that your socket grips them good because mine stopped doing that on #6 and I had to get a pair tiny needle nose pliers to grab the plug. that took me 10 minutes just to pull that one.

lastly, be sure you put Anti-Seize on them so they come out good the next time.

E3s are for lawnmowers.

NGKs are your best bet, and sometimes the price is decent since we need 16 of em.
