Wanted to tint my headlights/tail lights. I bought cheap tiny from wal-mart but quickly figured out it was not going to work. I see most use vinyl but wher do I find the right kind?

I don't Think that's a terrible deal. My brother wraps cars and has recently started doing headlights and tail lights. He charges 80 per pair, which is cheap around here. But doesn't use precut film.

Yea I know it's not expensive but still. I just ordered a set from Amazon for $9. Just wanted to know the quality.

Black paint and clear coat is the only way I will get mine done. Looks the best and lasts in my opinion. Not the cheapest option though.

Is there a special plasti dip for tint? I have a few cans of it when I did my badges.

Kinda wanted to leave option to remove if it's illegal or too dark and I don't like it.

Yeah plasti dip smoke, no prep work remove lights, spray light costs 10 minutes apart until they reach the darkness you want. And if you don't like peel it off, make sure it's dry before trying to reinstall, made that mistake have a fingerprint on one

1l
Durability ?
2)
Does it melt or burn?
3)
Can you peel it off , even after a few months of use ?
4)
Where do you purchase it ?

Canadian tire or home hardware in canada not sure about in the states, mine survived the salt and winters of Canada and still looks as good as the day I did them, 1 can did booth taillights and 3rd brake light had some left. You need lots of patients don't rush it plasti dip site will tell you where to buy, and it's suppose to be good for exhaust tips, so very heat resistant...

Plasti dip is one way to do it, but it really depends on what you're going for. I chose to go with a film rather than the dip, for I didn't want a matte look to my tails; to me it just doesn't look right...even with the glossifier. Then again, to each their own. VHT Night Shades is another route you could take, but they warn consumers that you will never be able to get it back to a "like it was" state if it's removed.

I actually just purchased a 50% film for my fogs, headlights and tails from HeadlightArmor Clear, HID Blue, Racing Yellow, and Smoke Light kits - Home a few hours ago. Had XPEL on mine for a while but it wasn't applied all that well so it started to peel.

Post up your thoughts on your film once you get it on and let us know what you think of the quality of the product .
