What would be the best way to tint my tail lights? I don't want them completely blacked out, but I plan on ordering a set of headlights which are already painted black on inside and want the tails to match. Suggestions?

Did mine this weekend also. I did about four light coats of VHT nite shades and 5 of clear. Wet sanded with 2k then 2.5k paper. Polished and waxed.
I think the hardest part was wet sanding, I've never done it before this and was afraid to mess it up. Just keep a lot of water on the light and use some sort of backing for the paper as to not get finger marks sanded in, I used a small foam sponge. Then just polish out with some polishing compound. I'll get a photo soon.
