Tire fitment question

I looked around the forum but didn't see what I was looking for.

So if I have a 17x8 with 0 offset and 4.5 BS with a 35/1250r17, Im assuming with no lift this will still rub because of the tire width correct?

Im not sure about aftermarket rims. I know the factory 20 rims with 35s need at least a level or 5100s on the front AND 1/4 inch spacers, due to tire width.

Yes I know that, but I wonder if I had a low enough offset that it'll clear the tires. guess Ill have to wait and check myself

You might check your tire manufacturer's website, or Tire Rack's website for the recommended rim width for your tire, but I think you may have a problem shoe horning a 12.50" wide tire onto an 8" rim. For the Toyo ATII 35 x 12.50 x 17, they recommend a 10" wide wheel, and will allow 8.5" - 11". You might be able to get it on there, but will probably have wear problems. The 0 offset, and 4-1/2" backspacing are what you need though.

I did look at the tires and it allows a 8.5-11" width, so I'll end up going with a 17x9
