Getting ready to purchase some new tires, and have it narrowed down to cooper stt pros, or Toyo M/T. There is about a 15# difference per tire. How much difference is that weight going to make day to day driving? Noticeable? I only get about 12mpg in town right now, so not really concerned with mileage. More interested in if they will handle differently.

Mostly you'll see a degradation of braking performance due to the increase in unsprung weight.

The less it increases the better. Have you looked up the specs on your stock tires to see just how much of an increase over stock both tires are?

I agree about the braking for sure , but my past experience a 10 lb + increase in tire weight is definitely noticable at all speeds but mainly taking off from a stopped position and passing .

Currently running a set of 325/60/20 terra grapplers. Not the g2's. I havent been able to find the weight on them. Felt a big difference going from stock. Turning, accelerating, and stopping. So, all ofthose things get worse as the weight goes up? Makes sense I guess.
