Jumping late to this but it takes a lot of prep work and you want a rubberized coating that can be painted, paint it with quality paint, clear it and your good, wont fade. It may sound funny to some to paint a already black truck bed coating black but it really lasts longer that way.

I did this to my 07 and 9 years later it is still holding up. But I spent hours and hours of sanding on the bumper and the use of etching primer at a base to get it to stick...
Here is how it turned out with a semi gloss paint and clear...

How about trying Plasti Dip first. It won't look quite like bedliner but it should be close enough to give you an idea if you like it or not. It will peel right off after it dries.

will be doing black wheels to . i dont like chrome ,yes talking about line x ,will be doing lower rocker panels also in line x from bottom to about 6 in up ,black fender flares ,was hoping for some pics of it done on someone elses truck to see it ,thanks for all the comments



Check out monstaliner. It's cheaper doesn't fade or chalk. I'll be doing my entire 3rd gen ram in it once I I put hood and fenders on then wheels. But all the reviews are great!
