this is what I was thinking initially..

but have since decided to mount it directly under where it is in the above picture, because I want 4 700ff's on the bar.

so here's the bottom/top of the bar and mounting hardware on the led bar and Hellas..thinking they can work together some how..tell me your ideas!

Can't you jsut use the bolt from the Hellas to go straight into the LED bar when its upside down? It looks like the bolt comes straight out the LED bar mounts correct?

ill check and see if the bolts are the same thread, the problem with that is I dont think the led bar's mounting holes/swivel joints dont spread as far as the light bars mounting holes.

You can always just make a small bracket then to mount to the led bar and then extend out to bolt to the Hella hardware. A bracket to line those up should be farely easy to make

Looks like maybe a piece of flat stock steel or angle iron is your answer if the light bar doesn't match up to the tabs on you light...bar lol
4 holes, outside holes bolt to your lightbar tabs, inside holes bolt your light bar too
Hopefully the light bar isnt to wide that you can get the hella bolts through although I'm sure you could offset the LED bar forwards or backwards to avoid that

If they dont line up, I think a z-shape bracket like this with some bending would fix the problem. and then put maybe some red loctite on the threads so some curious ******** cant nudge that ****..

Yeah, id make sure that light bar is like chained to the front haha. If i got one I'd almost want it stuffed in the bumper just to make it a harder target to steal.

the square area under the light bar, I was considering cutting out and fitting this baby in there...im really worried about someone trying to jack my **** with it out in the open.. :shooter:

theft precaution ideas anyone..? should I put green loctite? that **** is labeled "permanent", which would mean I wouldnt even be able to get that **** off if need be.

thought about putting it behind the grille but its to thick and wont fit inbetween the a/c condenser and the grille.

You won't be able to get it off with red loctite lol
I would switch it out to a torx head too, tamper proof if you can
It doesn't make it any harder to steal but it deters a lot of would be thiefs

what tools do you have access too besides the basics? grinders, welders, torches, dremels, 90 degree cutters...what do ya got? i see alot of options, but if you don't have the tools...makes those options hard to implement...lol

so maybe blue loctite then?

yeah that's what I was thinking, I'd like
to switch all my hella bolts to the tamper proof bolts.

well, what you can do is get a couple pieces of scrap metal, and make some mounts. go to town grinding them and shaping them to fit on the bottom of your light bar. than clean up your light bar so that you can weld the mounts up. basically have everything ready, so your buddy with the welder only has to run a bead. than repaint everything, or plastidip. would probably only be a couple hours worth of work, should be able to pick up some pieces of scrap metal for next to nothing to use as mounts. just go to a metal shop and ask if they have any scrap they'd be willing to sell.
