Now that my truck was repaired (broken manifold bolts & wheel bearings) all covered under my Mopar extended plan, I've decided to keep the truck and not trade in. I looked at the new models and they seem a bit too complicated for my taste, especially the ipad/tesla screen in cabin and the plastic tailgate seems odd for a truck.

Anyway, my existing protection plan is (85k miles & 12/21 expiry) and I currently have 65K miles on it and now plan to keep it at least past 100K miles. Question is now should I look into extending Mopar plan and what is the best way to go about it? Anyone else do the same?

Not sure on extending the warranty, but the new trucks have plastic tailgates?

Not available. Unless there’s some super elusive MAXCARE plan I’m unaware of to extend from 85k miles.

I picked up a 7y unlimited mileage plan for my truck at 46k miles. The cutoff was 4y 48k miles. I hit 38k miles on my Challenger RT+ Shaker and got hit with an unexpected surprise when I went to buy a plan for it. MAXCARE reduced their cutoff to 3y 36k miles... No big deal but annoying nonetheless..

No, they're not plastic. They're Aluminum to save weight. Not sure if that's just the outer skin or the entire tailgate though. But definitely not plastic.

That makes a lot more sense. Thanks for the info!
