I'm upgrading the head unit to this one. It said it came with wires ready to go. When I took out the stereo, I was surprised to find more wires than the harness they provided can handle. I've looks at YouTube, Video after video. I don't see anyone with the white plug. There are plenty of wires on it. The Long gray plug fits nicely in the provided harness, but not the small gray or big white. For the life of me, I can't find any information on it. I want to use as much as I can, starting with the OEM camera, steering controls, and Alpine system. I am hoping to find the appropriate Harness or hard-wire if necessary. While I'm at it has anyone use jumper cables instead of splicing? I saw something about a $150 PAC Harness and hope I don't need it, but at this point I'll take any info anyone has. Has anyone seen that White Plug on their stereo? Thank you in advance.

PS: I believe the yellow cable is the Sirius radio antenna and the white is the Radio Antenna, What about the truck's own GPS antenna?

SXM/GPS are both on the yellow plug. Did they send you any harnesses?

Yes, they did, I will take pictures of the harnesses and post them later. I did not know the yellow was both SXM and GPS. They did not send a harness for that wire just the Antenna. I don't know if the antenna adapter would work.

Go to Crutchfield and plug in you vehicle information and it will show you what installation harnesses you need to retain the factory controls. I'm pretty sure they will have everything that you would need. It looks like the most expensive harness maybe $40 or so...

To pile on, if you buy from crutchfield they often include all adapters for free...

Usually on aftermarket radios, they abandon the factory SXM/GPS for a separate included antenna you mount yourself.

Yes they supplied one. I am trying to use as much from the truck as I can. They suggested placing it under the dash. I thought it needed to be above the dash under the windshield.

It will have better reception on the window but it may work under the dash as well (the plastic dash doesn't interfere with signal much, but a metal frame will)
