I am chasing a wire break in my trailer hitch connector. I see what I need here-
Amazon, but don't want to spend that much money for what I expect to be one use. Anyone have any less costly alternatives?

A simple wire toner could work, or even a 12V test light can be used to find a bad wire/connection

I do not mean to be critical, but by thinking you might be able to use that Amazon mess you likely don't completely understand the task. So start with simple tools, like a test light, see what the results are, and work from there. Find the ends of the lines and connect a $10 ohm meter. Might have to have long leads. Just use some clip leads and wire.
