Tow mirror correction

Hello,

I recently picked up a 2010 Ram 2500 diesel with a manual transmission. It's my first truck and I have to say I really love the thing.

It is a fairly low option truck and so I've been trying to add a few things here and there.

I picked up a set of OEM tow mirrors. They are power, heater, with turn signals and puddle lights. I'm trying to use alfaobd to code them to the vehicle. So far I have the signals and puddle lights working correctly.

I can't get the truck to correct for the direction when flip them up. I've read through many of the alfa threads but can't seem to find the right config setting to make the truck correct for the direction of the glass when you adjust the mirror. Does anyone know what I need to do?

Here's what you need to change:


Tow Mirror Flip Up Correction:

Doors: Tow Mirrors Present

Select “yes”

Thank you for the quick reply... I found that in alfaobd list of codes but I can't find that in the app when I connect to the truck. Is it possibly different because the truck is a 2010?

There is something called 'flipper glass' in the menu.

I'd guess yes, that's what you need to change. Here's a thread for 06-12 trucks for alfaOBD.

I found this pic in that thread and the "flipper glass" is in there with all the other mirror options so I'm betting that's what you need to change. Let me know how it goes!!!

Well, I changed that to 'set' but no dice. I'm wondering if for some reason it's not an option in pre-'13 trucks

No... it only gives me an option of set or not set

What year of truck are the tow mirrors you got???

The mirrors are a take off from a 2012

Bumping old thread but wanted to know if anyone figured this out. Trying the same on my 2010 2500. Lights and signals work on mirrors but can figure out how to get the glass to adjust properly when flipped up.
