So this began because I noticed that my passenger side signal lights in the tow mirrors of my '14 Sport were inoperative. No biggie, under warranty, just a minor inconvenience to drop it off at the dealer...
When performing the job, they noted that my puddle lamps on BOTH sides were "burnt" too, and replaced them. I put burnt in quotation marks because LEDs don't or shouldn't burn out for many many hours of usage. When I picked up my truck upon checking out my newly repaired lights it was then apparent that the drivers side signal light was only partially operating, 2 of the corner marker leds were only faintly lighting up, which they promptly rectified by lamp assembly replacement as well..
I'm concerned. It has to be a bigger issue. I live in Ontario, Canada, I am thinking that moisture and road salt are getting into the electrical connections and corrosion is the culprit. On that assumption, I sprayed behind the mirrors with some penetrating oil to keep the contacts protected.
I'd like to know if others has had same issues with ALL the lights in their mirrors randomly dieing at the same time, if so what the cause might be.
