tow mirrors on my 2009 ram sport

i jest wanted to see if any one could tell me if the heated, blinker and puddle lightstow mirrors off the newer 2500's would work on my 2009 ram sport i asked the accessories guy from dodge if they would work and he told me it would blow me pcm.
i seen some where they can reflash the pcm for them to work if any one has any info i would really apprecate it.
i was wanting to see if any one has got any of these mirrors from rockauto part #CH1321315

if the dealer ship says it will kill the pcm, i wouldnt do it. wouldnt want to risk it. IMO

The ones on the 2500 are the same as the 1500. I swapped mine.

09+ 1500s, all the same.

I haven't used the RockAuto ones - I only have experience with OEMs.

My only question is how he thinks a mirror is going to blow the PCM? A few people have swapped tow mirrors. JJ being one of them ^^.

ya i told that guy at dodge that i want some mirrors like the 2500's siting out on the lot and he told me that you cant jest put them on a 09 ram and he said that it would blow the pcm but i dont under stand y it would blow the pcm that is the dumbest thing i have ever herd he told me some guy did that on an 09 and had problems i would think if your truck has the sport mirrors it would bolt rite up and work. when i was looking on rockauto they dont have them mirrors for the 1500, 09 ram but they have them for the 1500, 2010 ram and i called rockauto if i can get them for my 09 and he sounded like they wouldnt work on the 09 something is difrent. i jest wanted to ask on here to get more info i didnt want to get them and not work.

I was talking to a distributor today about them........was hoping that they sold them. They don't (yet). Hopefully soon though, they would be near factory quality at a LOT cheaper price!

Just checked the supplier - on the 3rd gens they currently only make the standard ones.

did you ask him about the tow mirrors working on the 09 1500 rams? The only reson i could see that guy at the dealer saying that is he might jest waht to sell me a new truck who knows lol. The 2002 i had traded in the kid that bought it i told him i had a superchips programmer for it and this kid worked at dodge to but he asked that guy i asked about the mirrors and he told that kid that you could only use it once lol . i told that kid that that parts guy ant telling you the truth and i told that kid that it would work cus i got it for that truck.

I know someone who ordered "OEM style" tow mirrors from RockAuto. They have all the exact same features as mine and cost about half as much as the dealer wants for a set. They are an exact OEM duplication, even plug and play like the OEM ones are. You can't tell mine apart from his; they are that good.

man love your truck. in the spring i want to get my 3 tail lights blacked out tint the windows tow hooks and down the road i want to put a 4 ince lift on it and some nice rims and tires.
