I seem to recall this coming up before, so I thought I would share my experience. My truck is a 2500 with the 6.4, I added Thuren's 3" coils to the front and 1" coils to the rear along with Airlift 5000 air bags. I replaced the lower mounts on the bags with Daystar Air Bag Cradles to make sure I don't rip the air bags out off road. This past week was the first time I have towed with this set up, I took the family to the dunes, for me this involves loading three quads onto a quad deck in the back of my truck and then hooking up to our camp trailer. I've scaled out the load in the bed, it's approximately 2000 pounds possibly a couple hundred more depending on gear. The TT weighs in around 7000 pounds with around 800-900 pounds of tongue weight.
With the stock springs and no air bags this load was almost on the bump stops, before hooking up the weight distribution bars. Once the bars where hooked up it gained a couple inches.
With the Thuren springs in the rear the weight from the quads had the truck squated pretty good, I put 80 pounds of air in the bags and it lifted the truck back to almost level. With the trailer and the W/D bars hooked up the truck sat fairly level, on the road it towed just as good as it had with the stock suspension. The only thing that I might need to change is the drop hitch and re-adjust the W/D set up, the trailer was a little nose high and caused some mild porpoising.
