Towing??

Does anybody know what this is for?? I just bought a 2014 and this is comes out near the hitch. I already have the plug in for towing.

Think that was added later so no idea what it might be for. Maybe an extra power supply for something? Check it with a test light or voltmeter to see if it has power with key on, key off, in reverse, lights on. Just see what it does.

My guess would be, the previous owner probably had some type of aftermarket lights that would’ve plugged in to that connector [emoji848][emoji2369]

Agreed does not appear to be OEM. Could you take some wider shots of it for us?

Good thought about checking to see if it has power and when.

Thanks for the ideas guys, I have backup camera built in, I will test for voltage and get another pic or 2.

2wire for 3rd brake light on a cap? Can tap into the tail lights or trailer harness. I always go trailer harness.
