Hey guys.. it's been a long time since I've been around... great to see things are still rolling.... I need your help... I'm broke.... and I need tires..

I'm a huge toyo/nitto fan but I just can't make them fit in my budget right now... My wife found a vendor in town with a set of "Trailcutter AT" tires that are winter rated, 60% tread remaining for $340 installed... I've never heard of them, other then they appear to be a Cooper sub-brand... thoughts? This is what they are comparing to, there's a big difference in price..

Would it be worth going with the Trailcutters for a savings of $721 over the cost of the average price? I need the tires soon as my front tires are nearly bald...

Updated my comparison sheet with new data... The average is created dynamically and it updates the comparison IAW the price provided, creating the graphs... I'm seriously thinking the new Geolanders at this point, or Price Matching the Grabbers at Canadian Tire who then gives a bunch of CT money back, plus they match (or beat, can't remember) the price.

So many options, so little money...

Man, I hear ya. I'm broke. Go for the Trail Cutters. Just a price thing. And in a year or two maybe you can afford them then.
I'm running Cooper Discover S/T LT265/75R16 and they're in good shape. Last a couple years.
I'm 1 1/2 hrs from Calgary.
I'm looking for a Steel 15" wheel with 3 3/4" backspace.
New ProComp Pro Comp Steel Wheels - Rock Crawler Series 51, 15x8 with 5 on 5.5 Bolt Pattern - Flat Black | 4WheelParts.com are $300. But if you can find something like these and is cheaper I'll give you my tires if they work for you.

I needed a cheap set of tires on my 95 Chevy 1500. So I put a set of Trailcutter AT's on it, they are still on the truck. No problems with them.

Ya, price wise they will work.
I remember when I had my 07 3500 Ram srw and I bought the cheapest winter tires I could find.
Firestone Winterforce.
Great tire. Lasted long time. Sucked in snow, Sucked in rain, Sucked in dry weather. But lasted long time and was affordable. :roflsquared:

I figured I'd share what I came out of this decision with for product... I bought a set of TerraTrac ATII tires, made by Hercules... it's my understanding that they are a Cooper tire brand, and so far they appear to be good tires. Haven't used them in snow or offroad yet, so my testing has been all dry road... I'll let you know if I run into any issues... thanks everyone for reading along and putting your 2c in where you could... I wish I wasn't so poor but until the oilfield picks back up and the Socialists leave office, it's going to be tight for a while
