Trailer TPMS

I recently purchased a 2022 Ram 2500 Tradesman, (6.7 Cummins), that apparently does not have the factory trailer TPMS system. All I get on the U-Connect for trailers is the trailer description and brake setting. No tire category. Does anyone know if this is something I can have a dealer add through the software? I found an aftermarket module that is suppose to provide this feature, but I would much rather have the factory version if possible. Thanks for any info.

I am interested in what people say. I have a new 2024 2500 Long Horn. It has about everything except the Trailer Tire Pressure Monitoring system. I have a connector just inside the rear bumper with a dummy plug in it. I guess that is for the module /receiver. Trailer settings are like yours, brake settings.

It's a separate option. I don't believe the dealer can 'add' it after the fact.

The thread Jimmy linked has all the information you need. It is a simple install, here's the parts list I used for my '24. I used AlfaOBD to program the feature. I bought everything from Allmoparparts.com.

I’m told I can NOT install the TTPMS Factory Parts onto my new 2024 RAM 3500 dually.
That’s just CRAP!!! Tell me how we CAN make it happen.
Waiting on return call from Stellantis…
I already purchased the 8 tire sensors, had those installed, bought the factory TPM module and wire(my truck didn’t need)
The module plugged right into the factory wire harness behind the license plate at the rear bumper. Sales Code (XG9)
I’m told I can not have this TTPMS on a truck built to pull heavy trailers. WTF

Now… I have an iPhone so what program should I use ?
JScan or ALFA OBD ?
Does Alfa on work on android?

I downloaded both from App Store.
Boy I’m just not familiar with this OBD stuff. Now that the hardware IS installed, would it be easier to have the dealer turn it on with their computer system ?

The alfaobd in the App Store is a fake/different app. It’s only on android and/or windows.

I am planning on installing the factory TTPMS components also, did you receive a call back about activating the system after installing the parts?
