My 01 Ram 2500 5.9 is being told that the TCM needs replacing or rebuilding. My Trans guy has hit a dead end and says nobody anywhere does this anymore? Do any of you know who does this still by chance?
Greatly appreciate your opinions.

Are you sure the TCM is the correct module and not a PCM?

2001 Ram trucks do not have a TCM. The gas trucks have a PCM. The diesel trucks utilize Cummins ECM and these trucks also use a JTEC PCM to control the Transmission functions for TCC/OD.

JTEC PCM's are still readily available. There are several companies you can purchase one from that will program it with the correct software for your year/make/engine as well as the correct VIN and mileage.

I forgot to put this in my post but I have purchased 6 or 7 JTEC PCM's from GoECM in Grand Prairie, TX. The ones I have bought from them were for the 1999-2002 Ram 2500 trucks with a 5.9ISB Cummins and a 47RE transmission. They are a local company for me and I am not a representative for them nor do I work for them. Just passing along some past experiences.
