I have a 2024 Ram 2500 Black Widow edition -One day when I got home I hear loud crackling noises like something was on fire, I looked under the truck and it was smoking really bad at the transfer case. Had it towed and they found the seal went bad and had to replace with a brand new transfer case. It only had 7k miles on it. It took a month to get parts and get the truck back. (covered under warranty)
I have put another 3k miles on it and the same thing just happened AGAIN. When I got out I smelled something burning and looked under the truck and saw smoke coming from the same place as last time. I had it towed to the dealership and I am waiting on them to call me. I regret buying it now. UGH.

Sounds like tech did a poor job of installing the new seal

After the dealership inspected the truck, they said it was a Rear Output Seal that needed to be replaced (covered under warranty). Different seal from the original problem that was fixed. They replaced it same day and I have my truck back. I really hope I don't have this problem again.

Learn to look under the truck every once inawhile, and you'd probably save yourself a bunch of head-aches. Oil leaks usually leave telltale signs for quite awhile before they become a catastrophe
