Transmission 8 speed

So I was not really paying attention as I was backing up but I shifted into Park. Screen said speed to fast to shift into Park. The truck shook but seems fine. Do you guys think the truck was saying " you shifted into Park a little to quickly?"

It means you were still moving, won't shift into park until you're stopped

haven't done that yet but i've been turning it off before putting it into park which makes some annoying noises

Ya I'm living with this dial shifter but I still miss the traditional column shifter.
