I have a 1996 Ram 2500 cummins turbo diesel and I'm having some new issues with my transmission. Now first understand it's a project which doesn't run often but lately I've had to use it for my daily. That's been going on for about a week now. So lately it has been what I can only describe as slipping. The RPM's will go up about 500 anytime you hit a bump. today however it started happening occasionally even on smooth road. I do have a video if anyone would like to see. I have yet to do a transmission fluid flush and change on it which is my first step. I'm just wondering what else this could be? Hoping it isn't a failing transmission however as far as I'm aware its on the original
