Got an 01 Ram 1500 5.9 magnum with automatic tranny with O/D. I was going 65 down the highway and the truck suddenly bogged down. It didn’t stall but I noticed that the RPM’s weren’t fluctuating. Some advice would be greatly appreciated

I can help you diagnose the 46RE in your truck. When you say the truck "bogged down" what exactly occured?

We're you unable to accelerate?

We're you able to drive the truck any further?

When you shift into Reverse or Drive can you feel the engagement?

When was the last time you serviced the trans?

What does the fluid look and smell like whenyou pull the dipstick?

The RPM’s stayed constant but it had no power to the driveshaft. It would engage and disengage. I was unable to accelerate. I feel the engagement in reverse. I bought the truck with 247,000 miles and it’s currently at 256 and I haven’t serviced it personally. Fluid is bright red. Didn’t smell it.
