tripping fault code if I eliminate the cat's

Going to do long tube headers and considering eliminating the converters. Not sure if going true duals or high flow y yet. Curious about tripping check engine light. On my mustangs just installed mil eliminator for rear 02 sensor's. Not sure how ign and exh system works on the rams though.

It will trigger a code with the cats gone, but you can eliminate them with a custom tune. Some guys have even been able to avoid the code by using 90* bend o2 sensor spacers to pull the sensors out of the exhaust stream a bit. This trick is hit or miss though...works for some, doesnt work for others. I wasnt running cats on my 03, and these spacers worked for me. It would trip the code about once or twice a year, but I would clear it, and would be good for another 6 months or so.

Thats what I thought thanks. Had a brain fart and spaced on being able to eliminate it with a tuner

Yep try the mil elems first then go to a CRM tune through DS to turn it off and get some more power.
