I am Trying to add a 2023 CVPM(from a Ram 2500) with 5 cameras: Rear, Cargo, Front , Left ,Right to 2020 Ram 1500 Laramie Sport .
I follow thread from Hdrams and others to gather all 5 cameras, installed them and have wiring done(fakra cable from each camera to the CVPMs). Got OBD MX+ , purchase Alfa obd for Laptop PC.
I have a uconnect 5.0 12.1 in radio. after program it with all of the steps ...changing vehicle model year to 2022. The softkey for the Surround View Show up.
When the truck put in reverse, the rear camera from surround view options show up but unable to click or make changes to different camera.
Only when connect with Advance mode in alfa obd > radio > sending manual cmd 8502 , clear the code at the second page. and reconnect, everything works, the cameras , softkey....
but when disconnect alfa obd, everything stop working , surround view gone away
Error code from Alfaobd Connected to Radio , select Central Vision Processing Module:
U0422: Implausible Data Receive from Body Control Module > is it because the BCM from Ram 1500 2020 is not shaking hand with the CVPM ?
B223B: Vehicle Configuration Mismatch > does it related to the VIN number inside the Radio or CVPM of previous vehicle ?
B2286: CVPM Camera Calibration Failed > wrong camera installed ? The camera came from Mopar Trailer Kit . Also the Cameras are display fine when we bypass the error
Is someone can help clarify:
1- Can we have a way to implement / hardcode the bypass to get the cvpm to work ? Just like how Tazer or Genie sold their mod kit , plug it in, program and it works
2- if not then do you understand what are the erros and how to troubleshoot/fix them ?
