Tuner or Exhaust????

Trying to decide. Plus just bored at work. Eventually I will get both, but trying to decide whether to get a Hemifever Tuner, Dodge, Jeep & Chrysler Tuning | Jeep Chip | Dodge Programmer & More or a Flowmaster exhaust, Product Details Kits&kw=

I have a 2014 Ram 1500 Express, the Blackout Edition.

Thoughts/Input/Opinions??

Get the tuner with Hemifever tuning if you want more power. Get the exhaust if you want less power. The exhaust without tuning will lose power.

I did my exhaust for about $75 for just a muffler swap and very happy with the results. I won't be tuning as I have an extended warranty and don't want to risk any problems with it. The tuner will definitely give you more power where the exhaust is mostly for sound.

If you plan on having both I'd get the exhaust first. Then when you get the tuner you just tune it to the exhaust. Be patient daniel-san.

Unless he gets headers, changing out the cat-back portion of the system wont give much gains unless he changes the y-pipe.

Just get the damned tuner, and a muffler only. Our piping is sufficient diameter and decently bent (except for the Y pipe) so the muffler gives all the sound and most of the benefit you need, and you can get BOTH. Call Matt NOW.

Tuner is worth more but exhaust will sound better and ur tuner will benefit more.

I would do this. ^^^ I put the tuner on the other day and man it made the truck feel beastly but its purring like a kitten since i did the vararam and 87mm ptb but havent done the exhaust yet.

Also noted you are running the Diablo Tuner on you Ram. Did you have any concerns or reservations about getting it due to it possibly voiding your factory warranty??

I havent done anything on my exhaust yet. I think im gonna do the muffler soon. then LT headers and the y pipe when i can. Gotta pay for a trip to greece so headers will have to wait.

Ill return it to factory If I have to bring it to a dealership to work on it. If they give me a hard time Ill find a dealership that wont big deal something that wasnt the problem

Well, I drank the Kool-aid and ordered a Hemifever tuner.
