Hey y'all,

I’m trying to figure out the best way to enhance my setup. I currently have a BlueDriver OBD device, which is decent for reading codes and displaying some live data, but it doesn’t allow for any editing. I’d like more control over the computer, and I’ve heard about a few options.
There’s AlfaOBD, but I’m still a bit unclear on how it works. From what I gather, you buy a device that plugs into the OBD2 port, purchase AlfaOBD, and then you can edit a range of settings. I’ve also heard about Carly, which seems similar to BlueDriver but offers editing. A few things I’d like to do include turning off the O2 sensor for a cat delete, adjusting the headlight configurations to match my setup, modifying the headlights to turn on DRLs, and anything else that could improve performance and gas mileage.

Thanks!

Some of the headlight stuff is definitely where AlphaOBD shines, but turning off cats for a delete might require an actual tuner. Others may chime in here.

Alpha is good for turning off/changing all the electrical bells and whistles. Changing the way your motor runs is a totally different ballpark, thus a tuner.

When you say an actual tuner, do you mean sending it off somewhere to have it tuned?

Also, what physical hardware do you use for alpha?

Actual tuner being something like HP Tuner which is what I'm looking at, Diablo Sport used to be popular but not so much anymore. I'm sure there are others. But these are units you can buy and do the work at your house.

I have not used Alpha myself so I'm not sure, I just know that many other people here have and seems to say good things about it.
