Hi everyone!

I’ve got a B&W Companion hitch, model RVB3500, which I used on a previous Ford setup. Now I’ve got a 2025 Ram 3500 with the OEM puck/gooseneck system. I’m trying to figure out the best (and safest) way to adapt my RVB3500 to my new truck.

I know my current Companion uses a square post for the turnover ball, but the Ram puck system is round. Is there an official B&W adapter or post conversion that works with the Ram OEM puck system, or do I need to swap out the base entirely?

I’m trying to avoid a universal adapter if possible—I want to maintain full safety and load ratings.

Any guidance from someone who’s done this would be awesome. Thanks in advance!

My friend had an older Duramax with B&W turnover ball hitch and Companion. When he got a newer Duramax with factory puck setup he bought a new base, and it was an easy, seamless swap.

Any updates on this as I’m venturing into the same situation

Check B&W's website. You may have to contact them. But they sell the puck-style bases without the hitch head, and you would just use your current hitch head.

Don't know what pricing is. But it's right on their FAQ that they offer them. Might be just as cost-effective to just purchase a complete unit and sell your old companion outright though...because very few people will want to purchase the Turnover Ball companion base without the head.
