TYC light output

So i ordered a TYC projector to match my OEM projector as all of the ebay finds were rather subpar.

The brightness out of the box is noticebly different between the TYC vs OEM. What can i do to bring the brightness level of the TYC up to the OEM? Would putting the exact same bulb in both fix it?

I wont quite, the tyc actually has a clearer lense on the projector and a sharper cutoff, so you'll basically never get them looking the same

I put TYCs on my 2015 truck and agree with the above post - the lense was more clear with a crisper cutoff than the OEM. I put 35w HIDs in and never had a problem. I now have a 2016 with OEM projectors and have the HIDs in there...still no issues, very good light output

Yes, the HIDs make all the difference.......
