When my iPhone is connected to the uconnect Bluetooth I cannot hear iphone maps voice through speakers or phone. Any help?

Some simple dumb stuff to check...

• can you play music via Bluetooth from the phone?
• phone volume okay when using Maps?
• Can you hear the voice on the phone itself when using Maps?
  
• Is there a setting somewhere on the phone that you have to throw to allow applications to communicate over Bluetooth?
• iOS updates?
• uConnect updates?

There's lots more, but most problems can be discovered and solved with just that bit of it up there

The easy fix for me is to buy a separate nav device, but that's me. Lol

I don't have an iPhone, but I recall seeing posts about a setting within the iPhone to have this work. Hopefully someone will chime in.

Also, switch the radio over to media and select Bluetooth.

On my Pixel (not an iPhone I know), there has to be something playing via Bluetooth to hear the nav directions, otherwise the uconnect thinks it's paused and doesn't play any audio.

I have same prob.
so what I do is plug phone into usb port in center console and it works that way.
2013 ram and Iphone8

Yes! You rattled something else loose from my brain... Bluetooth has to have a certain feature in it...

You have to have (and enable) MAP (Messaging Access Protocol) in the Bluetooth settings on your phone.

-Yes can play music via Bluetooth and usb.
-Cannot hear voice on phone with maps when connected to uconnect. When I’m not in car the voice for maps works fine on the phone.
-I’ve enabled everything possible on the phone.
-iOS updated to latest.
-Uconnect not updated to the latest but recently updated. Not going to update uconnect. Read about too many problems on here with peoples radios getting bricked during update.

The second screenshot was in the navigation settings located actually in Google Maps. I assumed from your post that you were using Apple Maps. However, if you can’t get AM to work properly and wanted to try GM, then the second screenshot is what you would look for to have the audio play through all of your inputs (radio, SiriusXM, etc).

Hi. I just realized this morning it was for google maps. I did adjust those setting in google maps and will try to see if that works. I prefer Apple maps and haven’t tried google maps yet.

Google maps worked with voice commands through the radio! Awesome. Thanks guys for the suggestions. Now I have to get used to google maps.
