UConnect 8.4 and IPhone Lag

When I plug my iPhone into the usb to listen to music there is an 8-10 second lag between songs when switching. The song will be playing on the phone but audio won’t come through the radio and info won’t display until around the 8 second mark. Is this a common issue and are there any fixes for it?
I also recently updated the software on my 8.4 if that helps

Just found this post while googling. I've been having the same infuriating issue for roughly six months. The issue has persisted from my iPhone 7+ to my new 8+.

Did this help? When I had my iPhone 6+ it would do this over BT, very annoying.

Did it all last night. Took a short drive and it didn’t happen. I’ll be driving a lot today so I can give it a real test.
