I just updated my Pixel XL phone to Android "Pie" (version 9) over the weekend.

When I started the Uconnect app on my phone, I got a message that said "Uconnect Access - This app was built for an older version of Android and may not work properly." (I'm running Uconnect Access 2.8.24, the latest version available off of Google Play store).

I can <OK> past that screen, but when I attempt to log-in, I get a "Network Error - Unable to connect to network, please check the Network status." Screenshot_20180829-215701.png

I've tried restarting the phone, and I've tried uninstalled/re-installing the app, and I get the same errors.

Anybody else having this problem? Any word on if there is a Uconnect Access app updating pending that would fix this?

Thanks!

I got Pie a couple weeks ago and haven't had any problems with my 2018 UConnect 8.4 system.

Have you tried unpairing and repairing the phone?

There is a UConnect 800# you can call for technical assistance. After that I'd guess you're going to need to go to the dealer. Are you out of warranty?

I did the same thing, only to find that I'm getting that "older version" message on a number of apps. They all work fine after OK-ing past, but none of them are connected to anything. I agree with another post re unpairing/pairing and or uninstall/reinstall.

I submitted a question to Chrysler customer service, who sent me the phone number for Uconnect Access, who told me there's a different app for the newer version of Android. She had me delete the "Uconnect Access" app (black background icon) and install the "Uconnect" app (blue background icon).

The truck is in the shop today, so I haven't been able to fully test it yet, but at least I can log in on my phone now without error messages!

(The frustrating thing is the "check for updates" option in the old app didn't find a different version.)

So finally my Samsung galaxy s8 got pie update yesterday. Samsung is always late to the party?

What is the name of the new app to install, and does it look any different?

Ok update...figured out my issue. I also had to change my password because of their restrictions on using symbols in their password. I use it for my charger, and I like the new layout. It now even has the diagnostic reports. Plus my big issue was that the car picture was always wrong..but that is fixed now
