Morning. I am new here. I have a 2020 1500 which received and OTA update which failed, proceeded to brick the head unit and drain my battery. I had it towed to the dealer, but they too are having similar problems and I am guessing this is the beginning of a nightmare to come. I have had not issues with my truck what soever until this. Has anyone seen this problem and gotten it successfully resolved?

Thanks.

Good afternoon and welcome.gifto Ram Forum.

To the best of my knowledge, most members advise against updating unless other solutions have failed to correct an impairment.

Bricking a radio during an update is always a risk, AFAIK. I don't have much experience trying to resolve this condition on a Uconnect device but would suggest searching here to find related faults.

If this failure occurred during a paid Uconnect update, I'd be chasing them for support.

Thank you. It wasn’t paid. It was a company update which I had no control over.

Update. I have Max coverage of 100k miles, supposedly my new radio has been ordered and with some luck, I will have my truck back later this week.
