Uconnect Update Notice

Today I began getting a notice on the radio screen saying that new software is ready for my Uconnect system. I will have to leave the ignition on for 15 - 20 minutes and then allow the update to continue for another 60 - 70 minutes. The back up camera, radio, 9-1-1 and several driving assistance features will not be available during the update.
Has anyone allowed this update and what does it change?
I am hesitant to allow the update without knowing what will be changed. Strangely, one of my main stereo channels has been changed today to something that I have never seen before. The new station looks like a review channel for XM. I have had the option to "update now" or "Latter" and so I have been putting off the update due to lack of time.

After you delay it a couple of times it will start automatically.....

Depends on what year truck you have on some of the updates.... my 2014 gave me changeable themes, movable icons, and some other little things.

+1. Newer trucks won't notice as much, as they already had some of the features, but some of the trucks that are a few years old now (or older) will notice a lot more.

My parents did their update to their 2015 during a long trip (1.5 hours one way). I did mine in the garage, and it didn't take quite as long as it stated. I think it was around an hour, grand total. However, for most 2013-2015 trucks (not sure about anything newer), you will probably lose all your presets (both Sirius and regular radio) and many other settings. Its such a thorough refresh of the software that they evidently could not import the old settings.

Any chance we get the what's played list view and the ability to skip ahead and back with steering wheel controls when in replay mode for sirius. I really miss those features.

I have a 2017 BH, and I put it off until my wife and I did an hour long drive. Took about 25 minutes while we were on the road. Didn't really notice any changes and no problems I have found. It's been about a month.

Since that thread link goes back to early last year I may assume the CPO I got in late June may have already had it installed. How can I check? At the time of the original post my truck was still in the hands of the PO.

It finally stopped. Not sure what the issues was, but yes, it kept saying it needed updates literally every two days or so. But all good now.
