The other day I dropped off a friend who lives at the bottom of a really steep hill that is nice smooth asphalt and almost 1/4 mile long. So I turned of the overdrive off and put it in 2nd gear, I didn't romp on it but I took off with a good amount of pedal and was still in 1st gear when all of a sudden without pressing any harder on the gas my RPMs jumped to over 3 grand and I was pushed into the seat as the beast ripped up the hill and finally shifted into 2nd gear. Is there some kinda load kick down sensor or something I don't know about on this V10? I have yet to try it again and see if it happens again, maybe tonight.
