I have a 2012 Ram 2500. It is a four door four wheel drive, 6.7 Cummins with a short bed and manual shift.
I was towing my Jeep at highway speed and my front drive shaft broke away at the transfer case. It did a world of damage before I could get to the side of the road. Everything is fixable but I need part numbers. Have searched some of the factory parts websites but am coming up with numerous numbers and no exact answers.
I need part numbers for the following items if anyone can help.
Both frame length fuel lines, fuel and return. These run from the engine to the tank.
Both frame length brake lines to the rear brakes. I do have two that run from the area of the front tire to the rear end.
The drive shaft mashed all four of these lines flat against the frame.
I need a part number for the correct transfer case shifter linkage, it has the BW 44-47 transfer case. The linkage was missing when I got stopped. The transfer will have to come out and get split open, the drive shaft smacked the shift lever and either broke it inside or knocked the fork off.
If anyone can help I would appreciate it.
The culprit to this was the two untreatable u joints next to the transfer freezing up and breaking the bolts.
I rigged the truck back together with help and drove home at 45 mph with the transfer stuck in low range. It was not a pleasant experience, but could have been worse.
Thanks
