So a few months ago I began to hear a faint scratching sound from the front end of my 2016 1500. It gradually became louder and assumed it was the hub bearing. I replaced the hub bearing but the noise persisted. I schedule a service to have my dealership take a look. They reported they could replicate the noise while in motion but assumed it was the hub bearing as well, but since I replaced that it must be something else. They said it could be the tires and recommend I replace them. If that didn't fix the issue they wanted to wait it out until it "got worse" and maybe then they could identify the source.

So today I noticed after letting the truck sit for a few days without driving and a lot of rain over the weekend the noise was much worse. You can really hear it when you turn the wheel left, at any extreme (Slight to full turn). I decided to make a few video's to document. I'd appreciate anyone's help with diagnosing the problem. As you'll see in the video's have 56K miles, majority which are highway.

Any time I hear of a noise while turning I think steering rack. As for your dealers response, I just bullsh... I would try a different dealer.

Well I found the issue, though not sure how or why it happened. The new hub bolts walked themselves loose, loose enough to extract them by hand. They were torqued correctly and blue Loctite was added when I replaced the hub. The only thing I can think is when I brought to the dealership they may have checked the torque on the bolts?? Anyway, so I'm tearing it down again tomorrow, tightening and adding LT back. I don't think any damage occurred as a result of the hub walking but I'm thinking about replacing the CV Axle just to be safe, or am I over thinking it?
