Apparently this only works on 2012 and older rams. Hit the unlock button twice, on the second push, keep holding the button down. It will roll the front windows down. Heard about thos on facebook, thought I would share. I think its pretty nice to let the heat out before you gwt to your truck.

This doesn’t seem to work on my 2012 3500.

Didn't work on my 2018 1500. I do have it set to unlock drivers only on first push and rest on second?

Never mind...2012 and OLDER! Imma dork.

It actually wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be, I went to Loews and bought a few of those damp rid contraptions and put them in the back for a couple weeks. It has seemed to work pretty well.

Lol don’t worry, I misread that, too.

I was told ram stopped adding it to trucks newer than 2013 because it is a saftey issue. How can it he unsafe if your out of the truck and its parked? I love the newfound feature of using my fob to roll my windows down.

Well, considering how much those fobs cost, they certainly should do more than lock and unlock the dang thing!

Heck, I've still got one empty spot on my '16 Reb's fob...maybe some teenaged hacker can mod mine to drop the tailgate...that would be sweet!

Had this in my previous infiniti...it was a great feature until it also worked by inserting the metal key into the driver's side keyhole to unlock, so thieves figured out they could just jam a flathead into the keyhole and get the windows to roll down without setting off the alarm. That even happened to me and they stole an ipod out of my center console. No broken glass or anything, no alarm went off either (at least I didn't hear it being about 30-40 feet away from my room to the car). Came out the next morning and had door/lock damage. So that's the only safety issue I see with this feature.

Stuff like this is the reason I carry a .40 caliber. If i catch them in the act, they will have a knife in their hand, and i will be fear threatened for my life, and shoot. I have plenty of space in my bed for bodies, and the woods is not far.

Unfortunately I live in this wonderful state called NJ! Fail.

I actually knew about this feature and used it a fair bit in the summer on my 2011. I haven't driven my new one much and it hasn't been hot out yet so I didn't realize it's another feature I've lost on the new truck yet. WTF

I love this feature, its really nice on those 100+ days especially when you are putting a toddler and / or a dog in the truck. It works on my 2010 TRX4 and it worked on my Jeep WK too. It only rolls the front down on the truck though where as on the jeep it rolled all 4 down.

This topic comes up from time to time. I heard it wasn't a safety issue... it was a liability one. During some hurricanes, some people supposedly "accidentally" lowered their windows down with the feature, and didn't realize they had. Hurricane filled their cars interiors with water through the open windows, and they tried to sue Chrysler over it, blaming the feature rather than taking responsibility for their actions.

Chrysler's legal department, to try and avoid the situation in the future, had the engineers remove the feature for newer models.

Maybe that wasn't true, but it wouldn't surprise me in this day and age. It is always someone else's fault, and everyone is sue-happy.

Doesn't work on my 2015, which is fine by me. I thought I'd use it on my 2011 300C all the time to help air the car out on hot days before I got in, but in reality, my key is never in my hand anymore. FYI, if you haven't figured out, the windows will stop rolling down when you let go as well so you don't have to roll the windows all the way down. Some other vehicles have this capability as well. I think KIA is one of them.
