Vacum Lines? Need to know what or which oones contect to make the 4wheel drive work?

Perhaps these will help...The line to the "vent filter" comes from a virtual tree of lines up near the firewal. On my truck its on the passenger side of the engine by the valve cover.

is there a typical dry rot location on these lines

just asking i had a s10 for a long time and the lines all ways dry rot at the connectors on the drives side fender
