I admit I was concerned when I first saw this video, but this one guy gets dust under his filter and all of a sudden they're all bad! I'm not buying it. For one thing, he didn't even have the seal running around the perimeter touching end to end allowing dirt to get in. Second, we don't know how vigilant he was at assembling the filter to the base and top therefore creating a leak.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYi1lTha2RU so you should watch that. I saw it and its full of bad news. I dont know if a member is apart of this forum or not but phew that is a problem
When I took my filter off to clean it i noticed a crack in the housing. Is there a warranty on the air grabber?!

And as I replied the last time that youtube link was posted about dirt getting in...there are 1000 variables to consider before making judgement over that 1 video. The guy that posted that video bought his intake from us 1 year ago. How many miles has he put on it since then? Has he ever applied oil to the filter like you are supposed to? Was the intake installed correctly, or was it resting on the AC line causing the airbox to deform when the hood closed on top of it?
Without answers to these questions, seeing dirt under his filter means nothing to me.
When installing the intake, install the silicone coupler onto the throttle body first. Then lower the airbox into place so that the back of the airbox sits level with the weatherstripping on the front of the wiper cowl. Have someone hold it in place for you while you tighten down the upper hose clamp.
If you mount the Vararam too low, it will hit the AC line causing it to sit uneven. When you close the hood on an airbox that is already uneven, it will deform the box.
