I happened to notice that today is my last day of having warranty on my truck. Purchase date was 04/04/04, which is the only reason I remember it so the 7/70 powertrain ends today.

Only warranty work done the whole seven years was the replacement of a stock shock which blew at just under a year old and it had a PCM flash as the result of a TSB once.

50,136 miles on the odometer as of this morning or an average of 7162 per year. Not the most miles I've put on a truck by a longshot, but at seven years it's the longest I've owned any of the seven trucks I've purchased in my life. Second longest was my '98 Ram that I traded in at just over 4 years.

Closest pic I have to stock is this crappy phone pic I took in July of '04 with a couple of mods, mainly a slight t-bar crank and 33" tires.

Yeah, some of the known problematic parts have been replaced thru mods before they had a chance to become an issue, like the crappy stock LSD, because I had the gears changed to 4.56s and added an Auburn LSD at 19k miles. The tie rod ends were replaced with much larger and greaseable ones with the lift kit.
It was built late enough in the '04 model year to have the upgraded valve springs, so it doesn't have the ones that were an issue in the '03 & very early '04 Hemis.

In other known problem areas I guess I've just been lucky, because I have checked spots like the rack and also the rear pinion seal at every oil change and knock on wood, not a single hint of a leak to date. Some of the cheazy hose ends were replaced with better ones from time to time if I found myself working around an area with one.

I'm also real **** about maintenance, so I'm sure that's helped a bit too.

I just pray I don't have one of those "as soon as it's out of warranty, BOOM" trucks, LOL...
