It’s hard to just sit here and not know more about this lol. For my system since I’m doing a two way front, passive rears and a single sub I’ll be using two amps.

Must be just me, I don't get it. The Alpine system in my 09 gets louder than I can stand way before it's halfway up. Why would I need all that? I've seen cars with more wattage than some radio stations.

Honestly if you are doing a SQ system and it’s properly set up, you don’t. I’ve got friends who are running 100 watt systems that will make you feel your ears are bleeding lol. Then on the other side I’ve got friends who use one amp per speaker.

For some the concept is it’s easier to arrive at what you want with more power, then struggling with less. [emoji4]

A lot of times on higher end systems the power is not about volume. More power, in theory, should give a much better dynamic range, which typically gives good baseline for a system to accurately reproduce music.

Ok. Found the shops face book page. The used all stock speaker locations. Tweet upper door and mid in the dash. FWIW.
I’m trying to hold out for the audio frog up mixer so I can run a center channel. Been waiting a while though.

Had to laugh at this, years ago I built a '78 Trans Am, (engine and suspension), for a radio host from the DC area, 10 100 watt amps in the trunk, he had Kilowatt airbrushed on the hood scoop. You could hear him coming miles away. After I was done, all the noise was behind him :Big Laugh:

Maybe it helps, maybe it doesn't. The other - and far more important issue - is the receiver. Between age and tinnitus, my ears don't hears so well anymore, so all that stereo would be lost on me anyway.
