Wax usually last 6-90 days, sealant usually lasts about 6 months. Opti seal/coat is suppose to last for a long long long time. True wax and or sealant does not have any abrasive in it so it should not harm your clearcoat. I use sealant and top it with wax every 3 months. Polish is used to remove very small scratches left by a clay bar or it can be used to remove swirls left by someone that doesn't know how to use a buffer correctly. Excessive use of a polich can, in time , cut into your clearcoat.
