First time Ram owner (21 Hemi Longhorn). My blower motor output is dismal. Changed cabin air filter... no improvement. Living in the Phoenix area this makes for a brutal upcoming summer season. When I inquire to AI or Google im told that this is a known issue for the Gen 5. That Ram was trying to minimize the blower noise by limiting the blower RPM. Noise is not a concern when your cabin temp is 130°. If this is true im hoping someone has figured out an aftermarket retrofit to remedy the problem. Can anyone shed some knowledge on this problem?

I've read post saying to not use a Hepa cabin filter as its to restrictive for good air flow

Did you buy the vehicle new? If so, has the air output been dismal since purchase?

Is this the original HVAC blower motor?

Any chance the motor is defective and/or is a poor-quality aftermarket unit?

Maybe try leaving the filter out.
If that solves your issue
try to find less restrictive filters
the cheaper the filter the less restrictive maybe
The cheap paper one works good. I put one of those fancy hepa filters in and on max a/c it blew at maybe 4 at best. Took out the hepa and had full blow. Changed to the paper filter, all was good.

@jc56berg.....do you remember what brand specifically you installed with good results?
Pulled the filter out, no brand name on it (threw the box away when I changed it). Got it from Orielly's. Just ask for the paper element and you'll see its less restrictive then the hepa filter and it filters fine in my cabin. Think I'm repeating myself but I looked it up and believe its MicroGard. They gave me a couple bucks back for the Hepa on the exchage.

Looked it up and looks like MicroGard. When I turned the hepa back in they gave me a few bucks back.
