Well , got around to a suspension mod

Just got done installing the HBS steering brace on the steering box .

2nd one I have owned . Had one on the Mega and now the CTD ...

I must say , if you have a lift and bigger than stock tires and you have some steering play .... GET ONE !

Makes the steering tight like a race car , no more wandering ect .. I love these things .

What they are designed to do is take out the slop and stress lifts and bigger tires put on the steering box . This flat out works and for 150 tyd ... why wouldnt you .

Ya bought a HR . Drop the pitman nut , track bar and install

maybe you can help answer something for me ramhunter9. i also installed this on my truck with no problems at all. what i'm confused about though is the small, very small allen screws. what is there purpose and do they have to be tighten down or not?

Yes it is a set screw, tighten it down it helps put pressure and hold the bearing in place

Not modding .. Improving

This should be a required mod on Gen II trucks. I ran the DT Protofab unit on 2 of my trucks (my 00 currently has one) I love em! I had one on my lowered 2wd Ram as well. It made high speed turn in's FAR better.

They are a quick and easy install. Took me all of 20 minutes!
