If J D Powers is still calling the 2025 Ram a Dodge, I couldn't put much stock in their opinion.

AMEN. After all the Hemi lifter issues I read about, sorry for the other guysIf the 2025 rams are the most reliable then I'd hate to be in a Ford. I believe the 2025 is the new architecture for ram and thought they had some bugs to work out yet? Could be wrong.
The long term J.D. Power "study" is based on three year-old vehicles, which means Ram's rating in this group was based on 2022 models.
Not really encouraging. Nobody is as good as they were before COVID, and Ram may be winning in 90 day survey but falls behind on longer term 2025 survey as seen above.
Then add in they don't weight the results. If grandpa can't figure out how to connect his iPhone to thr truck and reports that as a problem, it's the same as a transmission or engine catastrophic failure as far as that survey goes ..
Yes, just like this site, and yet I sometimes read comments from (supposedly owners) that are highly negative on Ram trucks and example "all of the problems" being reported here.1) It's self-reporting data. They poll people and ask "have you had any issues with your car?". If you had trouble connecting your phone through Android Auto and say yes, that counts as a problem. If you had the same issue but didn't think it was worth mentioning or forgot, it's not counted. They are *not* getting data from repair records, dealerships, etc. Just random polling of new owners.

We won't know what J.D. Power's three year rating is on the 2025s until 2028.

2019 Ram 1500 Billet Silver Laramie Quad Cab 2WD, 5.7 Hemi, 8HP75, 3.21 axle, 33-gallon fuel tank, 18” wheels. Build Date: 3 June 2018. Now at 137788 miles.
I don't think so. It appears that it is based on how 2022s have performed over the last three years. If you read the article you posted, they even reference it in the text.I mentioned it, unless it's changed it's a rolling 3 years, so 2025s will be affecting the rolling average but see just a small part of it. I still get polled by them for banking and insurance, but not for vehicles now since mine is too old.

They do multiple surveys. The 2022 initial quality is what they reference. That's the first 90 days of ownership and is specific to that model year. Then long term reliability is 3 years rolling. You'll note they talk about Bluetooth software issues causing some of the decline as well deeper in the same article.
"second consecutive year, increasing to 8.4 PP100 from 6.3 PP100 in 2024."
So it's not just 2022 3 years later if 2024 glitches are dragging the brand down.
Let this engines get some miles on them and see what people think about them at that time.Glad some members are holding the torch for the fan boys, or should I say Fran boys. The hurricane engine has been a pleasant surprise. Having said that the issues that some guys are having is troubling because it seams like unfixable trucks, but as a group I'd say from what I read Hurricane has been a success. Not to forget the new 10 year warranty, Ram is doing what they can to turn it around. Drop the e torque like they did on the Jeeps!!!
