But the 4x4 shop couldn't get my lower shock bolts out. PB Blaster, heat, air tools, hammers and nothing. So told them to put the tires back on and I brought the truck home. Pretty bummed. What are my options at this point?

Could they not get the bolts undone or out through the hole?

Undone. I imagine even if they get the nut off, the bolt would still be stuck in the bushing.

Well I guess it depends on how badly you want them on lol, you could cut the nut off and if the bolt is seized in the bushing you could take a drill bit that's a bit smaller then the bolt and drill out the bolt and then just get new bolts, just make sure you get the same grade bolts when you buy replacements

I assume we're talking the lower mouting bolt?

Buy new bolts from dealer, don't skimp here.
Cut the head off and use a center punch to 'escort' the rest of it out.
Install new parts and rejoice.

Wouldn't that tear up the bushing though?

Same problem I had with my leveling kit. Cut the ends off to just get the strut out. Used a drill, didn't work at all. Ended up using a torch to melt the bushing, hammer it out. Then used a saw to cut the sleave out. Bought a new bushing from Rockauto for less then 10 bucks. It was a major hassle.

I'm thinking of just buying whole new lower control arms. And in a few months uppers. Just to have all new front end suspension.

You brought it to a 4X4 shop for installation and they quit? Really?

LMAO!!

I wonder what they really do for a living there.

They should have just did the job and handed you a bill for the bushings, bolts, and an extra hour labor.

Na it wasn't like that. They called and said they could get parts but not until Monday. They mentioned replacing the lower arm as a whole, but reading on here I see the bushing alone can be pressed out and new one pressed in. I told them to put the truck back together cuz I wasn't going to be able to leave my truck for the few days. These guys know what they're doing, I'm the one who said to stop the work for now. At least until I can pick up necessary parts for them to replace and leave the truck a few days if need be.
