It's finally been warming up enough to start working on my truck again! Installed projector headlights, a hellbent steel leveling kit, and 33x12.5x15 Mickey Thompson MTX P3's. More to come as the weather continues to get decent.

While I haven't done it yet today I will be replacing the Vehicle Speed Sensor at the back of the transmission.

*Houston. Yesterday and today i spent driving from Iowa to Galveston. Whole thing was enjoyable except for Houston

I've got an old friend of mine who lives out that way, I'm not too sure how he tolerates it so well.

Figures, as soon as I talk about the weather getting nice, we get another four inches or so. I will take some pics tonight or tomorrow and get them posted up.

Before my trip i took the truck to the alignment shop and had em install a new trackbar and install my new shocks i haven't been able to get in. Shocks aren't THAT hard to install right? Yeah.... compress these :roflsquared:

I'd previously installed a 2" level and my rear springs being so worn out it gave the truck a slight Tennessee Tilt. These puppies brought it back up and now it's an inch higher than the front and it's perfect.

Lastly here's a couple pics of my roadtrip and the reason i don't wanna go back to Iowa now

LOL, towing a tow truck with a tow truck. And I suppose that this was one of those "gee, I didn't know that was a problem" things from the seller?

I replaced the oil pressure sensor with a nice genuine OEM unit today. HOPEFULLY this resolves my "zero pressure at hot idle" problem. If not, I'm gonna start biting my nails...

EDIT: Problem seems to be solved. Yay!

Also, I tightened the brace bolts for the steering shaft spinny thingy on my steering stabilizer today. The buggers were loose enough to turn by finger! I know that you're supposed to check the torque on these things every once in a while but I haven't checked them in almost a year, LOL. At least the mounting bolts for the brace itself were tight. I couldn't for the life of me find the torque spec for these things so I just tightened them to 40 ft/lbs as that's the only number that came to mind trying to search the depths of my booze-fogged memory. The bolts are pretty large so one should be able to get away with a lot I imagine. I'll have to keep an eye on them and see if they work their way loose again. Man, I really need to get the front-end aligned...

So ruined my alternator on my flatbed, by jumping the messed up new chevy tow truck. Went to Pick n Pull yesterday and apparently Alternators are few and far between. I needed the 136 amp one and ended up pulling the 113 amp one with fingers crossed from a 5.2l van. Needless to say it works but doesn't like all my accessories.

Added in a second battery in line. Changed oil today, and swapped alternators last night.

Fingers crossed that I'm good to go again.

edit added pics and a pic of a tow from today

Driving a lot. Ended up needing a new steering box. Put a 1 ton box in, and converted to atf in the power steering. Night and day difference. Feels like I'm steering a stock truck
