on both year front ends I tuck them behind the driver headlight in the space in front of the FCM or on the drivers side firewall beside the battery

I put mine right above the fuse box for my fogs, I didn't pay attention how it blocks the fuse box lid an have to take it out before I can open the lid to acces the other fuses lol

Replaced my idler pulleys and tensioner. Good thing too, the tensioner housing was cracked...went to detension to take the belt off and it didn't spring back. Turns out that was the noise I heard.

I've been using my truck to haul water and supplies to the shelter here in town after the hurricane.

We were incredibly lucky. I am about 7 miles north of Lumberton, NC which is still under water. I just got power back on 2 hours ago, but I had a generator that we used to power my well, my fridge and freezer, the TV and my pellet grill to cook on. The water came up to where I had my cars parked, but didn't get inside of them and it receded quickly.

I've been delivering cookies to the neighbors and feeding quite a few of them who were caught unprepared. I've probably given out 200 gallons of water over the past 5 days. The roads here are a mess, there's sink holes everywhere, bridges gone completely and 2 dams have already failed and they're expecting 1 more to fail at any time.

I feel incredibly fortunate that myself and my family still have everything we own and were prepared to be without power for days at a time.

We are doing pretty good, I wish I could say the same about my neighbors in Lumberton. I took another load of supplies up to the shelter today, but they're still hurting for baby supplies, dog food, cat food and hygiene products.

I'm tapped out, we've spent about $500 on supplies and we had to spend about $200 on fuel for our own generator so I wish I could do more, but I can't for now. I did put the word out at work that I will be making another trip up there tomorrow and if people could get some supplies, I will deliver them to the shelter. It makes me incredibly sad to see people going through this.

I got a set of used 285/70/17 duratrac today along with some 17 inch chrome clad too. Install went fine until I saw its rubbing on the uca. It's only rubbing a bit so I might just pass a grinder or take them off and order some 1/4 inch spacers

painted my extra set of center caps to match un-clad rims, just have to wait for them to dry, then clear coat, then install.

I want to lower my truck another inch in the front and 2 in the rear while improving the ride quality and handling, but it is going to take a lot of work to do..... I will have more into the extra inch in the front than I have in the entire 5/8 drop.

A 5/8 drop is a serious drop. I have a 3/6 and still have quality ride and with timbren springs I can still carry weight which I don't. Sounds like you will be going bags... post up pictures as you put it together.

Actually, I'm not doing bags, I want a static 6/9ish drop that rides decently and will handle great. I have a plan and the right people to help me out.

The hard part is making more room in the front for the tire's upward movement. There's ways of doing it, but it's not easy and not cheap if you're not a good welder.
