Been a bit since my last confession here. But, finally got the rear brakes and rotors in. Sure am glad I had a cut down 5 pound sledge to get the old rotors off. lol Now the truck has ceramic at all 4 corners. And I do love those duralast gold rotors. Wasn't happy with having to go 8 rounds with that sledge to get the old ones off tho'. Took the truck out to seat the new pads. This truck always stopped nicely. In all honesty, it stops much better with these ceramic pads. No more dust or squeaks. Another bonus to upgrading to these ceramic pads.

On the down side, next time around for brakes, it's gonna be a project in itself. Rear backing plates are shoddy at best. Real thin in spots. So that's gotta happen. Rear brake shoes, definitely next brake job. Rear calipers, those pin slides had to be removed, seriously cleaned, lubed, and reinstalled this time around. So next time, rear calipers definitely. So might as well just do all 4 so I know nothing was left undone. Since I gotta do all four, might as well get my buddy to powder coat them in a nice shade of "rumble bee yellow" to match my rumble bee grill badge. lol

Hope ya'll are doing great. :)

Ordered Maxine some presents. SHHH, don't tell her! Projector headlights, WeatherTech floor mat set and a Weather Tech rear seat cover for protection from our mutt.

I got my truck Krown rust sprayed last Friday, took it to get gas this Friday and got a wash which did f-all to clean off the gunk on the outer body, so I took it to work this Friday night for a couple hours and hand washed and dried it, FINALLY it’s salt, dirt and Krown oil residue free and looking shiny once again. Also got a chance to clean off the dash and doors.

Also washed off the wheels with Mcquires wheel cleaner and then wiped them down with WD-40 to combat corrosion from road salt, and threw on some tire shine (first time with this new set of Toyo AT3’s I got on the new Fuel Assault wheels about 1 month ago.

Also had to trim up my kick-back mud flaps as they come 14” wide universal fit, so still a little long and catch the curb when I back into my usual spot at work, so took another inch off them lol.

Went to install a cabin air filter door and filter in the truck, only to be pleasantly surprised to find the 2021 Classic actually came with the door and filter installed from factory! I thought they all came with the body and spot there but no cutout and door/filter. So that saved me some time.

Got the truck home and in the garage in 11 degree C weather just in time, this weekend got colder out and rained for a day or so lol … so it’s sitting in the garage spot free waiting for nicer weather - just in time for work Monday Urghgh ….

I’m sure I’ll have the cleanest truck or vehicle when I show up Monday morning lol!!! At least the coolest lifted-est one anyways …

I picked up the cabin air filter and door off Amazon, and I HAD to grab this Purge light up mask as well (after seeing Brian Ortega walk out to UFC 266 main event wearing it with his team lol) I’m still a kid at heart … even if I feel 70 lately
